Tianchi, located in Fukang city, Xinjiang, about 97 km east of urumqi. It is a natural crescent-shaped high mountain lake. The lake is 3.5 kilometers from east to west, 0.8 kilometers to 1.5 kilometers from north to south, with a maximum depth of 105 meters. The water here is as clear and clear as jade, just like a pearl on the Tianshan mountain. The lake is surrounded by snow-covered mountains where tall and dense fir and spruce trees grow.
Tianchi national park is centered on Tianchi, covering four natural landscape areas, featuring snow mountains, glaciers and alpine lakes. Dense forests, vast grasslands, magnificent snow mountains and unique local cultures can be seen here. The total area is 160 square kilometers, north to Shimen, south to xue county, west to Maya mountain, east to Dadonggou. There are 8 small scenic spots in the park, 38 scenic spots in total. In addition to Tianchi, there are two small lakes on both sides of Tianchi: east Tianchi and west Tianchi.
In addition to the magnificent scenery, there are also many cultural and historical sites in the vicinity of Tianchi, where tourists can also spend the night and experience the Mongolian yurts.
In tianshan Tanchi national park, in addition to the beautiful Tianchi, there are two lakes. East side of the small Tianchi, known as black dragon beach. Located 500 meters to the east of Tanchi, it is said to be the place where the queen mother bathed. Below the lake, there is a high cliff, the waterfall like a long rainbow falling from the sky, very spectacular. In the west one is called west small Tianchi, also known as cloud nest pool. Xizi Tianchi is located 2 kilometers to the west of Tianchi, and is different from dongzi Tianchi. The lake is like a full moon, with clear water surrounded by tall and straight firs and pines. There is a waterfall (tens of meters high) hanging at the edge of the lake. Visitors can climb to the pavilion near the lake to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the waterfall and the lake.
In addition to the lakes and mountains, there are also cultural relics. Tiewa temple is located 700 meters west of Tianchi. Perched on a 4,000-square-metre terrace facing the Tanchi, the tranquil temple is surrounded by pines on three sides, leaving space for the front. Built in the southern song dynasty (1127 ~1279), the temple of heaven is a Taoist temple with views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
