Tianfu square, the political and cultural center of sichuan province and chengdu city, is located in the section of renmin south road, jinjiang district, chengdu city, sichuan province. It is the starting point of people’s east road, people’s west road, people’s middle road and people’s south road. Its form and status are similar to tian ‘anmen square in Beijing.
Tianfu square covers an area of 88,000 square meters. It is rectangular in shape and 1.5:1 in length by width. The ground is paved by light colored granite stripes treated with special technology.

In the center of each square is a statue surrounded by a golden dragon, symbolizing the two birthplaces of Chinese culture — the Yellow River and the Yangtze river. Tianfu square is surrounded by 12 12-metre-high cultural totem poles, whose foundation supports are inspired by relics unearthed from the sanxingdui ruins. The polar patterns and dark stripes are selected from the historical relics of jinsha site museum. Standing on the high buildings, you can enjoy the charm and spectacular scenery of tianfu square, just like a landscape painting.
