Han-Wei Imperial City
The south city wall was destroyed by floods of Luo River, the extant city walls are three, there opened 12 city gates, connecting with streets inside the city, 24 avenues extend in all directions Within the city, there are buildings of imperial city, imperial palace, government office, gardens and animal breeding centers etc.
The main buildings include south palace and north palace. According to historic record, the Deming hall of north palace could contain ten thousand peoples, enough to know its large scale.
There are etiquette buildings of Mingtang (ancestor temple for son of heaven), Biyong (place for airing the rite and morality) and Lingtai (vast platform for horoscope and divining good or ill luck) at south of city, the Baima Temple in the city west. Now it is a national cultural heritage under special protection.
