Hi Alex, The tour that you arranged for us on Oct 11, 2012 was excellent. We enjoyed it very much. Upon arrival at Guilin airport on Oct 10th, you met us and from then on our pleasures continued. Guilin is a very lovely city in my mind but we don't arrange more time there. Soon we went to Kunming and continued our tour with another exellent guide. And the last tour in Beijing, the Forbidden City was very informative. The environment in Beijing restaurants was outstanding, have never seen such beautiful restaurants, so stylishly decorated before! Hotels were very good for the most part as well as their breakfasts. China Expedition Tours was an excellent choice for us, very flexible tours (which helps when travelling with a baby), also very informative and able to answer questions very quickly. Thank you very much for such a nice trip. Please see our comments below: The distribution of the time was fairly done, Meals were excellent in general. All guides were knowledgeable of the place and able to answer our questions. The best one was Sarah in Beijing and Ruth in Xian. All guides versed in English. All drivers were fairly good. The hotels were very nice and excellent breakfast.

Our group of 4, last 21 days was a life time experience of exploring the culture, history, differences cuisines of many ethnic of North, Southeast, South, breathing scenery is a given, architecture as old as 900+ years & still live in and passing generations to generations…and, last through all the battles during the 3 kingdoms, and many many surprises that take time to digest .

That being said, regardless how long the planning (1 year 1/2) in addition to hundreds of YouTube - without Chanel Tang patients during the planning process & her team to make sure everything is OK from woke up with me at 5:00 am climbing the mountain as raining & thick foggy to take us to hotel at midnight, make sure we are safe. - we will not experience it. A huge thanks to China Expedition Tour & big kudo to her team. I am highly suggest to take the private tour. It is not cheap, or too expensive - very much a self expeditions with a local expert who knows where, when for photo, change to do list on-the-fly depending on weather, etc.…last but not least was treated like VIP.

Hi, Monica.Thank you for your note. My tour in Beijing was excellent - Allen (Lu You) was a fantastic tour guide and I have only good things to say about him. Our driver was also very good.

In terms of improvements - I would have liked to have spent more time at the Summer Palace and in the Hutong, but we were on a tight schedule.

I would also suggest that tourists not visit the pearl market - the atmosphere was not very pleasant. However, the tea house and silk factory that we visited were very good.

I would recommend Allen as a tour guide to other tourists and would definitely return to the sights that I saw on this trip.

Someone told us that if you want to know modern china, go to Beijing and Shanghai; If you want to know ancient China, then go to Xi’an. We were very lucky to take this tour and visit these three cities of China. We appreciated your service during the trip, especially the guide who gave us an excellent explains of china’s histories and developments. Besides, everything in the tour was considerably managed by China Expedition Tours, so we could have a light heart sightseeing and knowledge learning around China. Thank you so much.
