Huizhou District
Located in the central part of Huangshan City .Huizhou District has jurisdiction over 7 towns, covering an area of 424 square kilometers with a population of nearly 100.000 Four state-level protected cultural relics are found here, ranking No.1 in Anhui Province .Huizhou District has long been served as a south gate to Mt.Huangshan, it covers about 440 square kilometers. It borders Tunxi District, Shexian County and seats in the south side of Huangshan Mountain Range.
This district is an important industrial base of Huangshan City, for the industry output value of its enterprises accounts for one third of the city’s industrial output .Its leading industries include fine chemistry, machinery manufacturing, and agricultural products processing. Huangshan Maofeng Tea originates form this area. The honey output in Xixinan Town ranks first in Anhui province. The District has many historical sites, praised as "a corridor of ancient construction". Here you can see ancient viallages and Qiankou Dwelling Museum, with old archways, pagodas, bridges and houses along the road.Huizhou District is also the home to several 4A-class scenic spots, such as Tangmo, Chengkan and Qiankou Ancient Buildings Museum. The Former site of the New Fourth Army Headquarters at Yansi is at one of “the Top Ten Revolutionary Tourist Sites in Anhui Province”.
