Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Guilin airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to an authentic working [Tea Plantation] located in east Guilin. There you will be shown the craft of properly picking tea leaves and the ancient Chinese art of tea making, an integral part of Chinese culture dating back thousands of years. Afterwards, our shuttle bus will take you to the picturesque town of Yangshuo located approximately 1.5 hours south of Guilin.

For this and the next two mornings, practice the world-famous Chinese healing martial art [Tai Chi] under the guidance of an experienced instructor. After breakfast, you will be taken on a [Bicycle Tour] around Yangshuo where you will have the chance to see Yangshuo’s beautiful rural surroundings. The bicycle tour ends in a small village outside of Yangshuo where you’ll visit a [Local Farmers' House] to experience China’s country lifestyle and be given the chance to participate in a hands-on adobe or brick wall [Plastering Experience].

A visit to Guilin isn't complete without taking part in the world-famous [Li River Cruise]. Departing from the town of Xingping, experience the breath-taking views of “the most beautiful landscape under heaven” as a famous Chinese saying goes, or in the words of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, "No place in China is more evocative of the beauty of China than Guilin." In the afternoon, take [A Class on Traditional Chinese Painting] in the small but beautiful town of Fuli. Here you will be taught to paint on fan-shaped rice paper and you’ll be able to take home your very own self-painted and mounted Chinese fan.

A short hike begins a fun-filled and challenging day. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and [Participate in Rice-Farming Activities]. During the growing season, learn to transplant rice seedlings to flooded rice paddies. During harvest season, learn to harvest rice using a sickle. In the off-chance that it is neither planting nor harvesting season, local farmers will show you how they plant other crops in their fields to help diversify their incomes. Either way, it's a rich and rewarding experience as you work side-by-side with the local farming community. Later in the afternoon, explore a [Cave] (spelunking) and get an up-close look at the region's unique geology and beauty.

Have you ever tried [Rock Climbing]? Here’s your chance. Yangshuo is regarded as China’s best rock climbing region due to the presence of the world’s most important Karst mountain formations. It attracts both serious and amateur rock climbers from around the world. You will be guided by a professional rock climbing club located in Yangshuo with years of climbing expertise to ensure both your safety and fun. In the afternoon, take in a [Chinese Cooking Class] and enjoy the savory delights you and your fellow travelers produced.

Enjoy a free morning to explore Yangshuo’s famous West Street, do some shopping, or simply rest-up. Depart from Yangshuo in the afternoon for Guilin airport for your next destination.

But there’re exceptions when there come home stay experience, remote destinations and other specified circumstances in the itinerary.
