Basha Miao Village
Basha is an ancient tribe consists of five villages with 2,140 people, which is far away from noise and the crowds of modern civilization. Located among the primary forests in the Moon Mountain, Basha tribe has preserved the ecological environment around as what it was thousand years ago.
The people here have been leading a plain but environment-friendly life. The clothes they wear and the material of building are from the nature and they never cut one single tree unless it has to. They just sell the wither trees branches to buy the daily necessaries. Therefore, here you can experience the primitive life and the environment without any pollution.
They still practice their unique custom and traditions dating back to Qin Dynasty (2200 years ago) and have their own unique belief. Men still take the self-made gun and knife with, and their dresses are like the ancient warriors. The hairstyle of them is the same as that of their ancestors in thousand years ago, so they are wearing the oldest hairstyle.
Plain as their life is, amazing may happen. The unmarried young people have their special and romantic way to express their love--that is the Flying Song. In the sowing or harvest season, young boys and girls work together in the day and drink the self-made wine and sing together in the evening.
On the entering into these peaceful villages, you may feel hesitate to disturb the serenity and purity. Here is a paradise for the people longing for peace and love.

1. Sunglasses and sun cream are essential.
2. It rains much, especially in May and June.
3. Thick clothes can keep you from cold at night.
4. Antiskid shoes or climbing boots is wise choice.
5. Spring, summer and autumn are the best time for traveling here.

Transportation:
Take the long-distance bus from Guiyang (9 o’clock every morning, 70 CNY) or from Kaili, Liping, Rongjiang, Sanjiang Guangxi and Rongshui County, then take the pedicab (10 CNY) or farm vehicles (3 CNY).
