Huang’s Unswervingly Loyal Arch
Huang’s Unswervingly Loyal Arch is located at Doushan Street. It was built in 1650 during Qing Dynasty. The arch is composed of three grates and three floors with bricks. It is 6.4 meter wide and 7.5 meter high.
According to the historical record of Shexian County, the archway was built to praise a women for loyalty, whose husband died just after engagement. The chastity arch is normally used for widowed women exclusively.
