Jiuxiang Scenic Spot
Jiuxiang is a major Kunming tourist attraction famous for its limestone caves. Situated in Yiliang County, Kunming Municipality, Jiuxiang Scenic Spot is 90 km from Kunming, 20 km from the Stone Forest Scenic Resort. The area is one of China’s natioanl-level scenic resorts thickly forested mountains in which are scenic spots such as the sanjiao cave, Diehong Bridge, Shangda Cave.
Covering 200 Sq. meters, Its scenic spots include a group of more than 100 caves, the Yi and Hui ethnic group‘s folklore natural scenery, etc. And this wonderful spot even has an underground waterfall and a breathtaking gorge. "The Field of the Gods" is one of the cave's main attractions. Water flows down from a hole in the cave here and is split into two at the spot where it falls.
Dasha Basin and Mingyue Lake, 66 out of the numerous caves in the area have been identified to have great value for development and the karst cave cluster is the largest of its kind on the Yunnan-Guizhou plateau. The caves in the area are praised for their grandeur, wonder grotesquerie and natural beauty.
