Jade Spring Park
Jade Spring Park (yuquan park), commonly known as Black Dragon Pond Park (heilongtan park), is one of the most beautiful parks in all of Lijiang. Inside the park, there is a pond, covering 40,000 km, formed by the springs welling up from the foot of the old trees, which looks like a piece of jade, from where the present name of the park is derived.
In the pond, fishes are having great fun across in the waterweeds. On the water, the Ottelia are blooming fully. Over, the Suocui Bridge, as a decoration of the pond, with three falls running below looks like a gorgeous Lady washing her hair by the pond. Around, the old trees are still flourishing, under the cover of which the pavilions and towers seem more peaceful.
A tower here houses numerous pictures and drawings on its beams, pillars, doors and windows, which is actually a museum, in which many precious historical cultural relics as well as calligraphic and paintings are displayed. On both sides of the gate, there are four huge stone lions, which though have experienced several hundreds of history, still look lifelike and magnificent.
