Shi Family Mansion
Located in Yangliuqing county of Xiqing district, the Shi Family Mansion is the house of Shi Yuanshang, the fourth son of Shi Wancheng, who was a member of one of the eight prominent families in Tianjin during the Qing Dynasty. and was called the "No.1 Mansion in North China." The mansion was constructed in 1875
With an area of about 7,200 square meters and a building area of 2,900 square meters, the Shi Family Mansion is composed of 12 courtyards all in Chinese traditional quadrangle style with a long paved path leading to all the yards from the front gate. From the Buddhist shrine passing a gate to the west is the Yangliuqing Folklore Museum in which Yangliuqing kites, paper-cuts and props for temple fairs, all with a flavor of folk art, as well as local wedding customs are displayed.
