Sanyuesan
Sanyuesan is celebrated on the third day of lunar March when the Li and Miao minority dwell in Hainan get together to hold carnivals. On this special gala, campfire carnival, local art show, folk sports competition, group tinikling dance and theme party will be held from morning to midnight.
Longevity Cultural Festival
The exceptional advantages in living environment contribute to the longevity of the local people. On the Ninth of lunar September, a Longevity Cultural Festival will be held in South Mountain in Sanya to show respect to the aged and attach more importance to life.
Besides, the lnternational Coconut Festivalin April, the annual Bicycle Race held in November and the International Wedding Festival in December are the traditionally ceremonious gala in Sanya as well. Of course, the widely celebrated Chinese traditional festivals, such as the lantern festival and the Dragon Boat Race, are also celebrated in Sanya.
