China Folk Culture Villages
China Folk Culture Village is the first large folk cultural scenic spot in China, assembling China's most remarkable folk and ethnic arts, customs, and residential buildings of ethnic groups together. Covering a total area of 200,000 square kilometers, it is close to Shenzhen bay and the Miniature Scenic Zone of Splendid China. The guideline of its construction is "from life, higher than life, discarding the dross and selecting the essence". It includes 25 villages of 21 minor nationalities of China, and all these villages are set up at life-size. Visitors can get the knowledge of construction features of each building. They can watch and participate in the folk song and dance shows, and trying ethnic arts and crafts. They can taste ethnic delicacies. They can enjoy performances on Ethnic Arts Square and watch shows of professional level. They can also join the various festival celebrations and appreciate the colorful arts and culture of the 56 nationalities.
In the village, distinctive architectures, colorful festivals and picturesque landscapes are shinning and charming. Traveling around the Drum Towers of Dong Minority, the Stone Houses of Buyei Minority, the Bamboo Houses of Dai Minority, the Yurts of Mongolia Minority, the Wind-rain Bridges in Guizhou and the Stone Bridges in Zhejiang, experiencing all by yourself the Torch Festival of Yi Minority and the Water-sprinkling Festival of Dai Monirity, and taking a walk in the coconut woods of Hainan, in the ancient banyans of Xishuangbanna or in the Stone Forest of Yunnan at the same place and on the same day should be the most pleasant tour.
In addition, more than 80 special and grand live shows about the minority ethnic culture and customs are put on everyday, all of which are the fruits of numerous hard works and painstaking modification. The sophisticated stunts together with the lighting system, acoustics and the tailored stage-costumes make the shows vivid and win great reputations among the audiences.
In the China Folk Culture Village, additional attractions are folk dances, local snacks and handicrafts. You will be able to choose many souvenirs from the variety of diverse designs.
